Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@krakenec.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Pressure washing is a cleaning method that uses a high-pressure water spray to remove dirt, grime, and other stains from surfaces such as buildings, driveways, and decks.

Our equipment is capable of generating immense pressure.  However, more pressure is not always better.  We have the experience to know how much is too much and adjust our equipment accordingly.

It is simply pressure washing using hot water.  We do both pressure washing and power washing depending on the particular situation.

Pressure washing can be used on a variety of surfaces including concrete, brick, wood, and, sometimes,  vinyl siding.  However, pressure washing is not always the CORRECT or safe way to clean certain surfaces.  We employ a variety of techniques and equipment including soft wash to safely and effectively clean even more delicate materials.  Incidentally, If someone offers to "pressure wash" your roof, please call someone else even if it's not us.

The frequency of pressure washing depends on various factors such as the location, weather conditions, and amount of foot and vehicle traffic.

  • For residential properties and commercial properties with light traffic, a yearly wash is usually sufficient.
  • For high traffic commercial properties like gas stations and fast food restaurants, we usually recommend quarterly cleanings.
  • Restaurant dumpster pads often require cleaning as frequently as every 2 weeks.

Probably not.  We offer a premium service.  Our pricing is aligned with the quality service we provide.

  • We have invested a great deal of time and effort learning the proper techniques to safely and effectively achieve the best possible results for our customers.
  • Our team is thoroughly trained in property protection.  We treat your property as we would our own and make every effort to ensure that your property is in the same condition that we found it, except cleaner.
  • Others may quote a lower rate.  Are they licensed and insured?  Do they actually know what they're doing or is it a "splash and dash" situation.  Anyone can buy a low-end pressure washer for pretty cheap but  If something goes wrong, will they be there to mitigate? If they don't carry the proper insurance and get hurt on your property, that could be a problem for you.

We do clean interior window panes.  It's the only interior cleaning we do.  Honestly, we didn't think of that when we named the company.  Sorry about that.

  • Are they licensed and insured?
  • What property protection measures do they take?
  • If pressure washing, are they able to tell you how much pressure they're using to clean?  Many don't actually know.  This can be a problem since even hard surfaces like concrete can be damaged by excess pressure.
  • Are the cleaning solutions they're using simply the cheapest way to get a  short-term result?  For example, many use concrete cleaners that will definitely clean the surface but also damage the concrete over time.  It's not malicious.  They just don't know.
  • What are their policies and standards regrading technician training?

Yes.  We hold every applicable license in every jurisdiction we serve.  We carry worker's compensation insurance and a $1,000,000 general liability policy.
